Maximin Bessi
President
Maximin heads up Canopée, which he founded in 2011, alongside François Phulpin, with the idea of creating an independent player able to steer and manage complex assets and projects in the sector of long-term investments, such as infrastructures, PPPs, energy, real estate and others. He first handled several sensitive projects directly (INSEP, CNSD, Université de Paris Diderot), before structuring a methodology around three divisions to foster growth at Canopée.
Maximin now serves as president and also handles Canopée’s business development, while managing assets entrusted to it.
Maximin previously worked at various companies and sectors, including AXA France, Michelin and Icade.
Maximin is a 2001 graduate of ESCP Europe.
Octavie Lascaux Le Nabec
Corporate Secretary

Octavie joined Canopée in September 2022 as Corporate Secretary. In this capacity, her brief covers all the company’s corporate functions, including finance, HR, IT, marketing and communications.
A graduate of HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales), Octavie possesses 13 years of experience in corporate finance. After serving as a manager in financial auditing at Mazars, she became Head of Management Controls at two insurance companies, Generali and Swiss Life.
Octavie holds a master of actuarial sciences degree from the Sorbonne.
Clément Guignard
Head of Operational Services

Clément joined Canopée in April 2019 as Head of the Operations division after almost 12 years spent at Bouygues Bâtiment in project management, development, and civil engineering on flagship PPP sites, such as Seine Musicale, Parc Zoologique de Paris, Centre Pénitentiaire Sud-Francilien, Ecole CentraleSupélec and others. Clément is in charge of operational, contractual and technical management of projects and in this capacity supervises the project management team.
Clément is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers and a holder of a masters in fluid mechanics and energy sciences from Université Paris VI.
Nicolas Le Gal
Head of Asset Management Services

Since October 2023, Nicolas has been in charge of Canopée’s Finance Division, which combines corporate administration (management committee/board of directors), portfolio management and investment and structuring consulting.
Nicolas spent 7 years within the BPCE Group as a structured finance analyst (public infrastructure, securitization). He also spent 5 years as financial manager and project manager within the ALTAREA real estate group.
Nicolas holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Sciences Po Paris and a Master’s degree in Management from Paris Dauphine University.
Edouard Schoell
Head of Corporate & Finance Services

Edouard joined Canopée in May 2020 as Head of Asset Management. In this capacity, he heads up a team involved in all administrative and financial issues of projects under management.
A member of the Ordre des Experts-Comptables and a graduate of Université Paris Nanterre, with a “master 2” degree in management controls and operational auditing, Edouard previously served as a financial auditing manager at Deloitte, as well as chief financial officer of fast-growing companies.
